Our team
Our team consists of two sisters, each with a passion for paralegal services and excellent customer service.
Paralegal
Rebecca A. Friend
Rebecca is a thirty-three year veteran of public education who specializes in operational functions, including issues related to North Carolina school law. She has spent the last decade as the Executive Director of the Pioneer Springs School District.
Becky completed her paralegal certification through North Carolina Central University. She also holds a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Education , an Educational Specialist degree in School Administration, and a B.A. and M.A. in English from Wake Forest University.
Becky is a member of the NC Paralegal Association and the National Association of Legal Assistants.
Paralegal
Dixie F. Abernathy
Dixie is a thirty-nine-year educator with a background in leadership. She served for ten years as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Gaston County, and, after retirement from the public schools, matriculated to Queens University of Charlotte. There, she currently serves as a professor in the Cato School of Education.
Dixie completed the Certified Paralegal Program at North Carolina Central University in 2025. She also holds a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from East Carolina University, a Master of Arts in School Administration from Winthrop University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Wake Forest University.
Dixie is a member of the NC Paralegal Association and the National Association of Legal Assistants.
