Who We Are

Dixie is a 39+ year educators, with a background in leadership. She served for ten years as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Gaston County, and, after retirement from the public schools, matriculated to Queens University of Charlotte. There, she currently serves as a professor in the Cato School of Education. 

Dixie completed the Certified Paralegal Program at North Carolina Central University in 2025. She also holds a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from East Carolina University, a Master of Arts in School Administration from Winthrop University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Wake Forest University.
